Lentil with Dal Masala Blend


Lentil with Dal Masala Blend makes a nutritious dish. Lentils can be added to any grains like rice, quinoa, vegetables along with Dal Masala Blend.

 

Lentil with Dal Masala Blend
        (For two)
 
Ingredients
1 cup of lentil (any kind)
1 medium tomato
1 medium onion (optional)
2 cup water
1 tablespoon oil or ghee (clarified butter)
1 tsp of dal Masala Blend
Salt – dal Masala Blend has salt in it. Add more if needed.
 
step by step recipe
Wash the lentils until the water starts to look clearer. Keep it aside.
Dice the tomato and onion separately (finely chopped or small pieces)
Heat the oil and add chopped onion, garlic.
Sautee the onion until it turns golden brown, add tomatoes. Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Add 1 tsp of dal Masala Blend. Mix it all.
Add 2 cup of water to it.
Add lentils and let it simmer for 10 minutes, until it all blends in together and the lentils are soft to touch.
Just before serving add cilantro on top as garnish (cilantro is optional).
Enjoy with tortilla or rice.
